Mid-August Reflection

Mid-August Reflection

It’s mid-August as I begin to start prepping to teach my next class in September. I can’t help but notice the way the sun comes down a bit differently now while the winds blow gently without any noticeable current. The barbecue still permeates the air, giving last minute remnants that, yes, summer was or is still here, but not for much longer. Mid-August makes you look forward while keeping your eyes locked on the rear view mirror looking back at the memories made during the season of outdoor bliss. You might find yourself looking forward with a little resistance, whether you’re excited or anxious of what the new season brings. But whether you look in front of you or in the rear view mirror, the reflection you see is yours. Own it. Now is the time to pause, sit still, grab both hands on the wheel and drive. Don’t let what’s left of Summer pass you by.

See you all soon!
